Does Windows need to be restarted for the backup?
No. The image can be created while Windows is running. You should plan and test the later restore to suit your environment.
What is the difference between the private license and the commercial license?
With the private license you may use Drive Snapshot for 60 months from the date the license is issued, including updates, without support. The commercial license grants the right of use for 12 or 36 months from the date the license is issued, including updates and support by e-mail. Both models are available for workstations and for servers. The private license applies only to private, non-commercial use. Any professional use requires a commercial license: in or for a company, when self-employed, when working for an employer from home, on computers that are also used for work, and for associations, schools and public authorities. Pupils and students may use the private license on their own computer for school and university.

Can I buy a commercial license as a private individual?
Yes. Commercial licenses can be bought by companies and private individuals; commercial or professional use requires a commercial license.
What happens at the end of the term?
The right of use ends after 12 or 36 months (commercial license) or after 60 months (private license) from the date of issue. The license does not renew automatically and there are no follow-up costs. If you want to keep using Drive Snapshot, buy a new license.
How do I get support?
Support is included in the commercial license: write to support@ondeso.com during the term. The private license includes updates but no support.
Can I order workstation and server licenses together?
Yes. Private and commercial licenses for workstation and server can be added to the same cart in different quantities.
How do I receive my license?
We send your license data by e-mail to the address given with your order, usually within a few minutes of receiving payment (credit card or PayPal). If an order has to be checked manually, within 2 business days at the latest.
Are there volume discounts?
No. Each license costs the stated price, regardless of quantity. In the online shop you can order up to 50 licenses per product; for larger quantities please contact our sales team: sales@ondeso.com, +49 941 462932-0.
Can I pay by invoice?
In the online shop you pay by credit card or PayPal. Public authorities and companies that want to buy on invoice or do not use a credit card or PayPal, please contact our sales team: sales@ondeso.com, +49 941 462932-0.
I am outside the EU. Can I order?
Not in the online shop. It currently accepts orders only from customers in Germany and the other EU member states. For orders from all other countries, including Switzerland, please contact our sales team by e-mail or phone: sales@ondeso.com, +49 941 462932-0.
